Beth Ostendorf
Director of Recruiting

Beth is originally from Columbus, Ohio and joined Northwestern Mutual in 2005. She currently serves as the Director of Recruiting for The San Diego Group, where she recruits and selects candidates for our Downtown San Diego location in an effort to grow in our San Diego market. She received her Bachelor Degree in Human & Organizational Development from Vanderbilt University and this was followed up by a Masters Degree in Human Resource Development at Vanderbilt. Beth is an active member of the Vanderbilt Alumni Association, Society for Human Resource Management, San Diego HR Rountable and the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce.
Linda Kyriannis
Linda Kyriannis had recently joined the Northwestern Mutual Financial Network as a Recruiting Director. She will be in charge of recruitment and administering training materials for new financial representatives in the Honolulu Office. She is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources and has been in the field for over twelve years and had held leadership roles in various industries and companies ranging from small, non-profits to large Fortune 500 companies. She enjoys recruiting for the right talent and is very involved in the community. She served on various leadership roles in the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM) Hawaii Chapter, Hawaii Kai Jaycees Junior Chamber of Commerce, and the Hawaii Association of Career and Technical Education (HACTE) just to name a few. She had earned a Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting and Human Resources Management from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and a Master’s of Business Administration from the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs.
Kara McCarron

Kara received her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia. Kara joined Northwestern Mutual in Atlanta in 2006 where she served as an associate financial representative. Upon moving to San Diego in 2011, she joined the newly opened Carlsbad office, where her main focus is to recuit and develop quaility individuals to expand the Northwestern Mutual reach in northern San Diego County. She is a member of the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce, SMARTY San Diego and the UGA Alumni Association.
Kara lives in Oceanside with her husband, Loni, and their dog, Kobe. She enjoys traveling, sports, and spending time with her family.
Meghan McGuire

Meghan received a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies from the University of San Diego in 2007. After graduation, she began her career working in business to business sales, followed by her time in pre-hospital medical device sales. Meghan has been with Northwestern Mutual since 2010 and is the Director of Internship Recruitment and Development. In this capacity, she looks for quality full-time college students to join our top-ranked internship program, where they will have access to the tools, resources and training to help them discover and develop market opportunities that could lead to a successful practice as a full-time financial representative. She is a member of the USD Alumni Association, Alpha Kappa Psi, Kappa Kappa Gamma, and the Junior League of San Diego. She enjoys staying active skiing, hiking, and playing tennis and is an instructor at the Bar Method.
