Scott E Ashline, CLU, ChFC In 1992, San Diego became his home and he began his career with Northwestern Mutual Financial Network, where his clientele largely consists of the "Who’s Who" in the San Diego legal community. Scott also specializes in working with a variety of businesses, from sole proprietors to large publicly traded companies, primarily on their executive benefits. He has become extremely involved in championing the causes of the financial services industry, with professional groups nationwide inviting Scott to speak to their members. He’s addressed the California Society of CPAs, law firms, corporations, as well as elected officials in Sacramento. Candace H Berkman Candace is a member of the Vista Hill Foundation’s Friends Board and serves on the advisory committee of the Jenna Druck Foundation. In addition, she is on the board of directors for the Torrey Pines High School Foundation as well as the Senior Community Centers. Candace lives in Del Mar, California, with her husband, Jack, and her son, Chase. She enjoys snow skiing, tennis and, most of all, spending time with her family. Eric M Gardiner Eric has bi-coastal business, traveling to New York City every month. He enjoys the daily challenges he faces in meeting the expectations of and problem solving with his clients, and their advisors, in matters relating to life insurance, estate analysis and corporate benefits needs. Eric has lived in La Jolla, California, with his wife and their three sons since 1984. David McQuade, M.B.A., CLU, ChFC He specializes in business needs analysis, such as buy sell agreements and exit strategies, as well as long-term investment services and estate needs analysis. Dave is among the current top 150 producers for Northwestern Mutual Financial Network nationwide and a Forum member. Isaac Shainblum He is extremely knowledgeable in the area of life insurance, disability income insurance and estate analysis, and he also enjoys helping his clients with their retirement and investment needs. Isaac has been a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors member since 1983. Isaac lives in San Diego with his wife, Carol, and his son, Michael. John O Todd III A third-generation Northwestern Mutual Financial Network Representative and a member of the Todd Organization, a national executive benefit consulting firm founded by John's grandfather, John O. Todd. John assists his clients as they prepare for retirement, children’s education, business succession, corporate executive benefits, insurance or investment portfolios, or estates. John is currently President of the San Diego Chapter of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) and is a graduate of the University of San Diego. John is a Southern California native. He and his wife, Cheryl, have two sons, Jack (John IV) and Andrew. James E Whistler, J.D., MSFS, ChFC, CLU, CFP® He graduated from the University of Idaho with a bachelor’s degree in finance, then completed his law degree at the University of Idaho, as well as completed a master’s degree in management and a master’s degree in financial services at The American College. While attaining his law degree, Jim began his career with Northwestern Mutual Financial Network as an intern. Now, over 30 years later, Jim’s focus is on meeting the needs of executives and highly compensated individuals, specializing in executive compensation, including retirement and other employee benefit plans, as well as wealth accumulation and preservation. Named to Who’s Who in the West and Who’s Who in Finance and Industry, Jim has published many articles and given numerous lectures and seminars. Jim lives in Point Loma with his wife, Kathy. He enjoys sailing, golfing and gardening.
